A report on Tianjin University Visit to the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science, Universiti Malaya
On 13th September 2024, a delegation from Tianjin University, led by Prof. Chen Jiubin from the School of Earth System Science, visited the Department of Geology at Universiti Malaya. The meeting was chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Farid Bin Abu Bakar.
The visit began with an introduction to both institutions: the Department of Geology, Faculty of Science at Universiti Malaya, and the School of Earth System Science at Tianjin University. Following the introductions, discussions focused on the potential for undergraduate and postgraduate student exchange programs between the two universities. Additionally, opportunities for research collaboration in fields of mutual interest were explored.
The delegation also toured various laboratories within the Department of Geology, and the visit concluded with a tour of the Geology Museum at Universiti Malaya.
