Say Hello to Crenulosepta perlisensis, a new fusulinid species from the Permian Kubang Pasu Formation in Perlis. Fusulinids are ancient marine foraminifera. Although being unicellular protists, fusulinids secreted a skeleton which can exceed 1 cm in length.
This discovery is a result of collaboration between Austrian, French and Malaysian scientists.
